The Air Jordan XIX utilizes Flex Tech fabric to mimic the scales of a black mamba, the inspiration behind the sneaker. Jordan Brand’s Tate Kuerbis, supported by Wilson Smith III, Jason Mayden, Josh Heard, and Suzette Henri, created the XIX to be the most lightweight and breathable Air Jordan to date. The XIX was originally released in five colorways followed by four Special Edition colorways. The White/Metallic Gold/Varsity Purple colorway of this pair, which lacks the Flex Tech fabric lace cover, is intended to suggest the colors of the Los Angeles Lakers uniforms.
