Tinker Hatfield’s Air Jordan VI is known for its rubber tongue, “spoiler” at the heel, and lace locks. At Michael Jordan’s request, the VI also features a reinforced toe. Jordan wore Air Jordan VIs when he won his first NBA championship in 1991; he averaged 31.5 points per game and was named the league MVP. The VI also inspired the Batman boot designed by Hatfield and worn by Michael Keaton in the 1992 film Batman Returns.
