This week’s sneakers are all associated with LeBron James, who is recognized is a style icon on and off the court. LeBron played for the Cleveland Cavaliers (2003-10) and the Miami Heat (2010-14), and returned to the Cavaliers in 2014.

Inspired by the phrase “all black everything” from Jay-Z’s “Run This Town,” DJ Clark Kent designed this sneaker to pay tribute to LeBron James and Jay-Z. Kent created a monochromatic shoe with contrasting textures, from the ostrich-skin toe cap to the upper with perforated suede and flywire cables composed of ultra-thin Vectran fibers that work together to support the foot like a suspension bridge. Jay-Z’s “Diamond Cutter” hand gesture is reproduced on the tongue, and the insoles list the two superstars’ achievements. This extremely rare sneaker never made it to retail—instead it was given away in a “friends and family” promotion.
